Are you having your family portrait taken for Mother's Day?

Good for you!!!

Unsure of what to wear, or how to coordinate the family?   Here are some thoughts from my experience.

Advice for women:  Wear a top that you absolutely love.  Unsure which one to choose?

Which one do you get the most compliments on?  Have you had people say to you, "wow, I love you in that!"

or "that color is so good for you".  --- that's what you want to wear!   Try to stay away from:

 - large, bold patterns

 -  company logos

 - sleeveless tops (unless you really, really REALLY love your arms, keep them covered!)

 - white (we want the emphasis to be on your beautiful face, not your clothes!)  White attracts the eye.

 - all black  (boring!)

Remember that the camera adds weight so try to wear slimming clothes & that fit you well.  Layers are good!

As to the whole family:

- matching is SO 80s.  Coordinate the colors, though, by staying in the same tonal range.  eg:  spring colors ... fall colors ...

And don't be afraid to ask your photographer for advice too!

Bring snacks for the little ones ... relax ... and have fun!
