We love getting to meet new families because of our photography work, and the H family was no exception. We met up for a family session at the creek behind our home studio here in Danville, California, and we couldn’t get enough of these amazing people.

In particular, we loved getting to know the 14-year-old twins, Evelyn and Andrew, and seeing what different people they were. So often, twins will get lumped together as one unit without acknowledging what makes them unique, but with these two, it was clear that they were independent and confident in themselves.

Evelyn has such grace in her movements. And Andrew is just such a boy. There’s no other way to put it; these two really feel like they balance each other out—while at the same time complementing each other the way only twins can. We couldn’t get enough of seeing them interacting and being their own people. 

It’s also nice when our families are comfortable going into a session, because it makes it easier for us to get those genuine smiles. They were so relaxed and easygoing, which meant we could have fun with the pictures. That’s what we always want out of a family session; we want you to remember these fondly. There is genuine love shared between the members of this beautiful family and it’s easy to see in the portraits of them all together.
