Well, here we are again.  Labor Day weekend has come and gone.  Central Oregon continues to bask in the summer glow, even while we're getting our kiddos back in school.  Backpack, check.  Water bottle, check.  Pens, pencils, check.  Back to school always means a fresh start to me.  New classroom, new teacher ... maybe even a new friend or two.  One of my favorite memories is mom taking us downtown on the bus to shop for new school clothes.  I didn't like the trying on process (another young lady suffering from low self esteem) but I loved checking out the new styles.  What's cool ... what's trending ... as I aged, I loved the teen section of Dayton's.  They always had loud rock music and the latest styles.  The best thing about back to school shopping, though, was the lunch we had when we finished.  Mom would take us four girls up to the Skylight Room (or was it the Garden Room?) on the 12th floor -- such an elegant room filled with plants and tall ceilings with windows showcasing downtown Minneapolis. I loved the girl time we shared -- excitedly discussing who got which teacher, which classes we were fond of (and which we weren't) ... in such a pretty environment.  Just us girls.  I always ordered a club sandwich :).

anyway .... fall means back to school, fresh starts .... and the beginning of the holidays.  Family time.  Warm sweaters, pumpkin lattes, fall color.  Speaking of ... we usually get great color here on the creek @ the beginning of October.  Might be nice to capture some family photos, to help keep the good memories alive.

Why not call & talk to me about booking a fall family portrait session this year?

There's never a better time than now.
