Jim and his girlfriend, Lauren, asked me to photograph him behind the bar at Esin, a restaurant he frequented. Jim was starting a blog about his travels—critiquing restaurants in between the stories about his adventures—and needed some good images to go with the site. Of course, I was more than happy to oblige.

I started out by photographing him sitting at the booth with a martini, kindof going for the James Bond look ... I think we did pretty well, don't you?

After we had gotten our Bond on, we moved to the bar for a few more pictures. The bartender was VERY accommodating;  he even stepped aside to let Jim pretend to run the place. :)

Jim really wasn't looking for a huge variety of images, just a few to choose from for his blog so we were able to knock it out in about 30 minutes. When we felt we'd gotten all the images we needed, I joined them at the bar for a glass of wine. They talked about their travels and some of their favorite restaurants. They even steered me clear of some of the worst places, too! The more we talked, the more I was impressed with what an enchanting couple the two of them were. They were great company, and it really felt like I was sitting with old friends rather than a pair of clients.

We hit it off so well that Lauren hired me to take pictures of her cats in their Christmas getups. I blogged about that one already; feel free to check last December's posts.  They were absolutely adorable and so much fun to work with.

I'd love to do more work like this here in Redmond, Bend, Terrebonne, Tumalo or Sisters :).  so please, if you're starting a business or just need some updated images for your company's website, hit me up!   I love helping businesses create & maintain a beautiful online presence.
