Aaahhhh, summertime.   I love everything about it -- even the heat (as long as I can swim, find a shady spot to read a book, or ...:).  Some of my favourite summer things are: Grilling (everything!), patio parties, long morning walks, swimming, boating, watermelon, going to the fair .... and photographing senior/grads.  Not necessarily in that order :)

As a professional portrait photographer, I love the enthusiasm and joy that grads bring to their portrait session.  Many bring props that help tell their unique story -- guitars, skis, skate boards, books, football & softball gear, etc. Some grads even bring their pets, and this brings an adorable, relaxed feel to the session.

The images showcased here were taken in a diner for a 50s themed photography session.  She had her hair & makeup done to match the style, even found an adorable skirt & shoes to match.  SO CUTE.  I arranged with the owner of the diner ahead of time, so everyone was on board with what we were doing.  The staff had a great time, making sure her shake had the right amount of whip on top, that we had great tunes playing on the jukebox, etc.

We were really happy with the resulting images; mom had me design a beautiful photo album to showcase her favourites & we made a gorgeous metal print for her wall, too.  FUN!

How about you?  Do you have a senior/grad at home? I'd love to work with you in creating some fun, contemporary images that tell their story -- who they are now, their goals, dreams, hobbies, etc.   Let's not just take the yearbook photo, but create something that you will cherish for years to come.

I am happy to travel, but mainly stay in Central Oregon -- Redmond, Bend, Terrebonne, Tumalo and Sisters.
